NILAI ENERGI METABOLIS
(The Effect of the Processing Methodes Fresh Water Snail “Kalambuai” on Nutrient Composition and Metabolizable Energy)

ABSTRAK
Penelitian telah dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Unggas Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Islam Kalimantan dengan tujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh pengaruh pengolahan keong rawa “kalambuai” terhadap komposisi nutrient dan energi metabolis. Penelitian menggunakan itik Alabio sebanyak 32 ekor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental yang dirancang secara factorial , faktor pertama adalah jenis keong (Pomacea glauca dan Pomacea canaliculata) dan faktor kedua adalah proses pengolahan (kukus, silase biolgi, silase asam dan tepsil). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa baik spesies maupun proses pengolahan berbeda nyata terhadap komposisi nutrient dan energi metabolis keong rawa “Kalambuai”. Metode pengolahan secara silase biologi memberikan hasil yang terbaik dan meningkatkan komposisi nutrient dan energi metabolis

ABSTRACT
The research was conducted at Laboratory of Poultry of Agriculture Faculty Islam Kalimantan Univercity, Banjarmasin – to to evaluate the effect of processing methodes fresh water snail on nutrient composition and Metabolizable Energy. Thirty two Alabio Duck were used in the study . The experiment was done based on Completely Randomized Design of factorial (3×4) , consisted of two factors treatments, one factors is varian fresh water snail (P. glauca and P. Canaliculata) and the second factors is the processing methodes (steam, Acid silage, biological silage and tepsil ). Test significance the continued Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Result of this experiment showed that treatments influence was significantly on nutrient composition and Metabolizable Energy the fresh water snail “Kalambuai” . The methode biological silage of fresh water snail could increasing nutrient composition and Metabolizable Energy (P<0,05)
